Information on the localised transaction price index

Transaction-based, quality-adjusted price indices created and developed by Wüest & Partner, broken down by property type and covering the 106 (spatial mobility or «MS») regions of Switzerland.

The price index is shown for the specified property type in the selected region. The corresponding cantonal and nationwide indices are provided for reference purposes. From the first quarter 2000 the indices are presented quarterly and from 1985 to the present day annualy.

The use and dissemination since mid-1999 of hedonic valuation models for owner-occupied housing allow Wüest & Partner to record some 20,000 arm's-length transactions each year. Details of some 170,000 current and historic transactions involving owner-occupied apartements and Single-family houses had been collected by the end of 2009.
