Information on asking price index
Wüest & Partner's asking price indices are regularly published in the
Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ) newspaper and Wüest & Partner's Immo-Monitoring
property market reports.
They are calculated for the following use classes: rented apartments,
owner-occupied apartments, single-family houses, office, retail and industrial space.
The nationwide indices are updated on a quarterly and the market region indices on a
semi-annual basis.
Index revision of 19.4.2006
Since the index revision of 19.1.2006, the data used in determining the supply
indicators for the real estate market (asking price indices and number of properties
on offer) have included Internet advertisements (retrospectively to 2002) in addition
to advertisements published in the print media. A number of technical adjustments had
to be made in Q1 2006 to ensure proper integration of the Internet data. As a result,
the newly posted values are no longer amenable to comparison with those previously published
by Wüest & Partner.
